In an ancient land, the wicked Deus Empire ruled its land with an iron fist. As the nobles thrived and spent their time making merry, the peasants slaved away to make enough money for themselves and their families while paying unjust taxes to the emperor. One day, a revolutionary from a foreign land appeared before the peasants with brilliant ideas and bandwagons of weaponry forged from the finest steel.
“Citizens, cast off your shackles of oppression and take back what is rightfully yours!” said the foreigner with a blade in his hand. “Now is the time to unleash your might for today, you shall be the founders of the Machina Republic!”
The revolutionary was known only as Eternus, a man whose family had planned for the inevitable rebellion by forging his weapons. Whether they were a slave or a farmer, all lower class and middle class citizens joined Eternus in the foundation of his Machina Republic with a blade in hand. Recognizing the threat, the emperor hastily ravaged his own cities to create crude blockades against his former subjects. However, this move would affect his troops as well, for the blockades restricted not only the movements of the Machina Republic’s rebel force, but also his own Deus Imperial Army.
Now, the Machina Republic and the Deus Empire are fighting one final battle to decide the outcome of the war. If the rebels can successfully capture individual sectors of the castle, they shall emerge victorious. However, if the Deus Imperial Army manages to assassinate the Machina Republic’s leaders at their own headquarters, then the rebel army will fall apart. Which side will you choose?
